If you have ever copied a text from a Skype call or conversation you might have seen while pasting, Skype adds a time stamp and some quotation to whatever you have copied. This can be handy for showing someone else who said something and when. But, it becomes tedious when copying the text to be entered into a search box.

Step 1: Open the Tools menu from the Skype window. Select Options from the list.
Step 2: View the IM & SMS option by clicking on the button in the left pane.
Step 3: Select IM Settings from the list under IM & SMS.
Step 4: Click on the Show advanced options button.
Step 5: Under the heading Ctrl + V will, select the option Paste message as plain text.
Finally from now the text that gets copied will be only the text that you select to copy. Here you can select the name & time stamp from within the chat window manually.
