"We look forward to the next 25 billion", the company said in a blog post.
To Celebrate the Milestone, Google is offering a five-day promotion so that the users can choose from a collection of apps from leading app developers like EA, Gameloft, Rovio, Full Fat, runtastic and their apps will be available for just 25 cents a piece. The featured apps with upto 75% discount (as of now) include Angry Birds Space Premium, The Cat in the Hat, Office Suite Pro 6 + (PDF + HD), Granny Smith, runtastic PRO, Asphalt 7: Heat, Ocean HD, Draw Something, Clouds & Sheep Premium, Tasks, Sudoku, Symphony of Eternity, NFL Licker 13 and Let's Create! Pottery.
The company is also promoting collections like "25 must-own movies", "25 albums that changed the world" and "25 banned books". All will be offered at discounts.
Apple on the other hand celebrated their 25 billion app downloads milestone this March by giving way $10,000 App Store Gift Card to the lucky user Chunli Fu of China, who downloaded the 25 billionth app from Apple iTunes App Store.
