Google Drive Is Live With 5GB of Free Storage




You must have heard of GOOGLE DRIVE before and this time the most awaited rumor is live.Drive is a free storage system for photos, videos, documents, PDFs and will also allow users to 'drag and Drop' their files from Macs or PCs instead of storing them on their own hard drives. The system works cool with phone apps on both Androids and devices such as iPad or iPhone.


Google Drive offers the most pleasing interface, the search feature is brilliant and the new grid view lets you quickly browse your stored files visually. You can email any file from your Google Drive account to another user as an email attachment, a useful feature that’s missing in all the other online drives. 

How to get Started ? 

You can get started with 5GB storage for free - which is enough to store your high resolution photos of your Trips, get-together and to keep scanned copies of business proposals or love letters. If you want more you could upgrade to 25GB for $2.49/month, 100GB for $4.99/month and even 1TB for $49.99/month and more.

Your Gmail Account Capacity will also increase while you upgrade to a Paid Account for Google Drive. 

The app is available for download (68 MB) and Install it creating a folder on your Computer that acts as a Drive Sync Area.

You can now directly drag your files from your PC to the Google Drive Application.Files that you added to the folder will appear in the Google Drive Online App instantly.

The documents that appear in the computer's folder are linked to Google Docs which opens a separate browser Tab for editing.

As a bonus, Google Team has announced availability of 10GB of free storage in Gmail up from the standard 7GB Storage to celebrate the launch of Google Drive.
