Microsoft says Google secretly planted Cookies in IE too

Fresh off the report that Google was bypassing the privacy features of Safari Users by planting Cookies that could track the browsing habits. Also latest reports from Microsoft says that Google has been doing the same thing on Internet Explorer.

Winter Easter Egg: "Snow" In Google's Search

Google is full of fun with easter eggs hidden within search queries. Remember the barrel roll? Here’s one more that’s been discovered, just in time for the holiday season. If you are thinking of a snowy Christmas and winter season, the place to visit is one and only Google. Google surprises the visitors with Snow. To know how to get snow into google read more below.

Type ‘let it snow’ in search, and you’ll see snowflakes falling down the page. The first hit is the Christmas carol ‘let it snow’ by Dean Martin (which we’ve embedded below). Eventually your search results page will cloud over and the search button turns into a defrost button to clear out the clouds.

Type "Let it snow" into Google, and the search engine will reward you with some lovely flurries. Digital snow flakes flutter into view, while pixelated frost sneaks in from the top and bottom of the screen. Pretty soon, the effect fogs up the entire window, allowing you to draw messages in the virtual frost. You won't be able to click on any of the search results, but don't worry. The normal search icon turns into a "Defrost" button. One click will wipe away this icy veneer.

"Let it snow" stands as Google's latest Easter egg, a term for little secrets hidden in movies, video games, or websites. The search giant has sprinkled dozens of these little treats into its various pages. So, don't go back to work just yet!

Microsoft Silverlight 5 Released

Microsoft released Silverlight 5, which could be the last major release of Microsoft’s application framework  for writing and running rich Internet applications.

Microsoft made available on December 9 for download the gold version of Silverlight 5, the latest version of its browser plug-in and Web, desktop and mobile development platform.

Silverlight Version 5 will be supported by Microsoft until 2021 — which is a much longer period of time than previous Silverlight releases have been supported.

The version 5 release supports all the Previous platforms which it's previous versions of  Silverlight did: Windows, Mac.

 It also works with Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Silverlight 5’s  special  features include Hardware decode of H.264 media; extensionof the trusted application model to the browser; and graphics stack improvements with 3D support using the XNA programming interface on Windows.

Silverlight 5 was originally expected to be released to the Web in November 2011.
