Google is developing as a business. Google Inc. is an American multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, cloud computing, and advertising technologies. Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products, and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, often dubbed the "Google Guys", while the two were attending Stanford University as PhD candidates.

Google is developing an operating system (OS) for personal computers, in a direct challenge to market leader Microsoft and its Windows system.
Google Chrome OS will be aimed initially at small, low-cost netbooks, but will eventually be used on PCs as well. It is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks.
As per Google Blog it is reported that netbooks with Chrome OS runs better. As per the blog, existing Operating systems were designed at the time where there were no WEB. So Google is trying to redesign the Operating system concept. This OS could be primarily targeting on netbooks and it will be definitely a separate project.

Standards, simplicity, Security, Speed, Stability, User interface, Desktop shortcuts and apps, Extensions, Themes, Automatic web page translation, Release channels and updates, Usage tracking are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. The OS will be designed to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as the Google Chrome browser, Google are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work. The Techbay | All Rights Reserved.
